Hello when is decsion made on ecas
When you got passport request date.

Can you please mention dates please for these 2 things l.


Do they first make decsion made and then send passport request after few days

Received pre arrival letter today( by email) after a silence of 3.5 months. How long does it take from Pre arrival to Passport Request?

App received: Feb 17, 2021
AOR email: June 2021
Biometrics letter: October 14
Medical request: October 15
Medical passed: October 28
November 17: PCC, Military Service Records and Retirement proof from Military Service asked.
Biometric Completed(for both parents): November 18
Sent all Documents: November 24
Pre Arrival Letter: 11th March 2022 ( Status changed to Decision made )

All details are there in my signature.

Decision made on ECAS was 11th March. Same day as I received the pre arrival letter

Passport Request: 14th March 2022
Passport Collected for stamping: 22nd March 2022

Yes passport request is only after status change to decision made.

You will be getting the PPR Soon either through the email or on MY CIC if you have already linked Your application.

Medical request:
Medical passed:
PCC: Nov 17
Military records: Mar 15
PPR: Apr 8

I am still waiting for my Grandmother application to be completed.

Hello Members,

My parents needed to go for extra medical examination and after that cic received all paperwork work few months ago. Cic account update “You Passed medical” few months ago.



Now we received-

I received “MEDICAL SURVEILLANCE UNDERTAKING” without any instructions.
What is it?
Do I need to do anything?
What will be the next step?

Medical surveillance is a medical check-up for a person who is newly arrived in Canada, to check that their inactive tuberculosis hasn't progressed to active tuberculosis disease. Medical surveillance is required for anyone who was assessed as having inactive tuberculosis on their immigration medical examination (IME).

My parents recently went for their medical exam and the radiologist found some linear and mottled opacities in my dad's chest x-ray. Panel physician referred him for sputum test and told him once the sputum test results come back then he will refer him again to a pulmonologist. Once pulmonologist give him a clearance certificate then they will upload it to CIC.

In the meantime, my father went for a second opinion and doctors told him his x-rays and test results do not suggest TB. Unfortunately panel physician does not want to listen to other physicians.

Now I am so scared as I read some posts where the pulmonologist and Panel physician recommended 6 months treatment though the applicants' sputum test came back negative as well as did not have any symptoms at al. If that happens in my dad's case, can we contact with IRCC RMO directly and provide them all the opinions we got from other physicians? As my father is diabetic so I don't want to make things complicated.

Also he has valid visitor visa, can I bring him here and check up by a Canadian panel physician?

Yes its possible. I was cosigner to my spouse's parents. My wife dont have any income but it was accepted and approved. IRCC consider family income not sponsors income.

My parents got selected in PGP2020 draw and received their medical in March, 2022. My Mom has a creatinine level of 2.5 (normal is 0.9-1.4). The medical was done in India. She is also diabetic but not severe. Will that create a problem in getting her the Permanent Residency. As for my Dad's report, it is fine.

Can someone please help if you have any info.

Hello Everyone! I submitted my parents application under PGP program on 1st Dec 2021 and received email from IRCC that your application status has been updated. But when I login to the account it only shows submitted (1st Dec) and there is view option that is greyed out. Application never got updated there. Anyone else in same situation? Or if anyone got anything who applied recently?
