PCC in India other than residents of Punjab and Delhi

Guys,

Cic website says for candidates who reside anywhere in India other than Delhi and Punjab, need to apply at local District Police Station.

Or there are occasions where people still take it from Passport Seva Kendra (PSK) and Cic doesn't object? I heard PSK route is quick and straight forward.

Please enlighten.

If your city has a PSK then you should get it done from there. Sometimes you have to go through police verification to get a PCC

Your region would have a PSK. Get your PCC from there rather then getting it from Police. Its always safe to get it from PSK.

My city has PSK in 2 locations.

My question is will cic see it as a breach of rules for not getting it from Police, after having clearly mentioned in the website to do so?

You will get the certificate from the Police only, PSK is just a medium.
