Hi everyone, my application got approved and counterfoil number generated on 24th October. Return trscker is not activated yet. Any idea how long it takes to be activated? Can I expect my passport before the end of this week?
So is it 8 working days in total to get approved once the passport sent to the printing room? Mine was sent Oct 16 to printing room so i can expect the approval this Friday?
Thanks gotodxb for your reply. I assume that there is no message in CIC account, right? The final decision part says:"Your application was approved. Check your messages below for details", but I did not see any message.

If someone were to land over the weekend in that border, what would they do? Is there a different border landing site that one would have to use over the weekend?
We'll be sending our package out tomorrow but I'm not really thrilled with our photos. We used Walgreens and instead of using a strong flash to prevent shadows like places used to for passport photos, they digitally put in a white background, but that seemed pretty against the no manipulation rule so instead they tried just changing the brightness, which seemed more reasonable (I mean, digital cameras do that anyway). Does anyone know how picky they are with the photos? I know the worst-case scenario is sending in new ones but I'd rather not have to pay more between the photos and shipping. For goodness sake, we could have done much better photos at home and printed them there for 20 cents a pair!

I am not complaining but single process is painfully slow and unjustifiable with cic. Bottom line is if they ship out even tomorrow, Oct 27th , I won't get it before early next week I think. And can't go to the border on a work day. So looks like it is going to be next week.
