If your plan is to flagpole then yes the US border might be very busy since Thanksgiving is next Thursday.

can we do landing at night and any day at niagra? I heard that they hv some quota for landing.

I guess so. I am not sure though. Seniors can advise on this. I went on Thursday night around 10.30 PM.

yes at some points flagpole was restricted in Ontario during weekends, meaning that you could do it only Tue-Thu. see this thread for example: https://www.canadavisa.com/canada-i...eads/rainbow-bridge-pr-landing-failed.501556/

This said it doesn't mean the restriction is still in effect, nor that all land crossings were affected. The best advice is to give them a call and ask directly.

Depends on the traffic of the border. If they have more travelers than usual they don't like to do the landing.
That's why stopped taking landing applicants during FRIDAY to MONDAY.
If you are planning to land over the weekend your best bet would be Thousand Island or Windsor-Detroit border.
If you can wait until Tuesday go early morning (by 7.30am).

How to submit passport for your dependent, if she/he is in USA? Do they put her/his mailing instructions or name on PPR email? My husband is in USA. I am confused, when I will get PPR, if he can send me over here in Canada then I will send together. As North America residents submit Passport to Ottawa only. We hold Indian Passports. Thank you.

I have a question - I am a student residing in Quebec .. I thought about driving to USA since border is an hour away from my place .. but somoneone suggested me to enter from any port other than Quebec. Can you share your views and what exactly I should do?

I am not able to link my application to my CIC account. When I enter application details, I am getting message 'No applications found' always. When I email CIC, I got reply on 10 Nov 2017 that my application was approved and due to high volume of mail intake delay in passport return is expected.

I have tickets to go to India for Dec 29 and I am wondering if I will receive my passport before that.

Can someone please help me know why I am not able to link my application to my CIC account?

It seems like Ottawa is the new London Visa Office...ie SLOW as molasses.

Yeah, its very frustrating and a little scary to not have your passport with you for around a month. There are absolutely no updates since my passport was delivered last month. ugh.
