Feel sorry for you. From this spreadsheet it appears that CIC is returning passports that were approved between 29th Nov - 4th Dec, so your should return very soon. May be today or tomorrow.
Hi, has anyone who applied from USA succeeded in contacting an agent? I am calling from a canadian number.
As soon as I go to the option `connect to the agent`, it says I `the call volume and we can't process this call now`. I am wondering if it is because of my application number that starts with `E`.
Hi - I got my approval back in Nov 11th (with an update of counterfoil number in my account), and my passport was delivered to Ottawa office on Oct 23rd. I have been waiting to get back my passport since.
Last week on Dec 6th I received email saying there's an update to my account and when I checked, my previous counterfoil # is now invalid as of Dec 1st. However, they added a new row (with new counterfoil #) in my document status with an updated date of Dec 6th and that row is valid. I called CIC today and the agent said my case was closed on Dec 6th and passport is printed and should have left their office some time last week. He said now it's up to the postal carrier and not them. I then called UPS but they said they haven't received the shipment.
Pardon my long post but I'm really nervous as I have been waiting for more than a month now.. Did anyone experience the same thing?
Hi @APPNOV2014NY did you get your passport back? Did you include commercial invoice for return shipping? I have not included in mine as FedEx guys said not needed, just wondering if it would cause any issue.
I've been calling them since yesterday and all I got was "we are experiencing huge volume of calls and are unable to transfer you to an agent". I even tried this morning at 7:50 and still got this message. Anyone been able to get through to an agent?

I did include commercial invoice for return shipping. Need not worry. Worst case Fedex will ask you to mail/fax you commercial invoice if it get's stuck at custom. Customs will release PP within 24 hours of faxing commercial invoice.
Yes. My passports are back in USA. It's at nearby Walgreens. I will pick those up late evening today.
