On CIC under final decision it says "your application was approved. Check messages below for details" and there's an added section that lists the counterfoil number and expiry date

I guess its normal to work on implied status ? Yes it is. BTW IMO, you are on implied stat. because of PR visa, not the new work permit application anymore.
