Parents Super Visa May 2024 Timeline

I am starting this thread for folks to track super visa application submissions made in May 2024. Here's the status of my Dad's application:

Application submitted: 17 May, 2024
BL: 17 May, 2024
Biometrics submitted & completed: 20 May, 2024
Medical : You do not need a medical exam. We will send you a message if this changes.
Background check: We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information.
PPR: Not yet

Should i be worried that there hasn't been any activity ever since? My dad is from Pakistan, and I am a Canadian Citizen.

Why contact MP when processing is at least 140 days or around 5 months. And 140 days is when most are processed by. Don’t expect updates yet.

You have a valid point, i am getting anxious because I got my Mom’s super visa last year in two months.

Got rejection today.
This is what the refusal letter says

Thank you for your interest in coming to Canada. I have reviewed your temporary resident visa
(visitor visa) application and supporting documentation to assess whether you meet the
requirements for a visitor visa (https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/
services/visit-canada/eligibility.html). This includes assessing whether you are coming to Canada
temporarily for the reason(s) you describe in your application. I have determined that your
application does not meet the requirements of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act
(IRPA) (https://laws-lois.justice.gc.ca/eng/acts/I-2.5/index.html) and Immigration and Refugee
Protection Regulations (IRPR) (https://laws-lois.justice.gc.ca/eng/regulations/sor-2002-227/
index.html). I am refusing your application.
• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay as required by
paragraph 179(b) of the IRPR (https://laws-lois.justice.gc.ca/eng/regulations/SOR-2002-227/
section-179.html). I am refusing your application because you have not established that you will
leave Canada, based on the following factors:
• You do not have significant family ties outside Canada.
• The purpose of your visit to Canada is not consistent with a temporary stay given the
details you have provided in your application”

any thoughts? suggestions? My father retired in April 2024 and i applied for his super visa in May 2024. I had attached his pension slip as a proof that he will be receiving pension which will stop if he isn’t in the country. i didn’t add bank statement showing receipt of pension because his first pension payment wasn’t in yet at the time of application coz of delays due to gratuity calculation and all i didn’t include any property documents either.

Is any one have any updates for the application in June? I am following application since April, I see very few application movements.

Hi guys, I had applied for my father’s supervisa in end of May 2024 but did not see any progress so I had booked upfront medical exam. However, the authorized clinic claims that medical can only be submitted once request is received from IRCC? I see many applicants submitting upfront medical but why is it not accepting in Nepal?

Hello, a question - one of the initial pages of the online Super Visa application for parents, it asks for date of arrival and departure.
- Should it say something like 8 months or 12 months (more than 6 months, because thats what a supervisa if for). Dont want to get a 1-2 year visa stamp at the Airport for them, as I've read some parents have gotten, from some posts here.
- or 3 years/5 years - I dont want to give the impression that parents will not leave. They plan to travel back and forth.

Please advise

Our application date is 22nd May. Biometrics were done, as they used the previous one. Background Check in progress. Eligibility has not started yet. Medicals were done upfront in Canada.

I applied for Super Visa for my mother in May 2024. Her super visa expired on Aug 8th thus, it’s a visa renewal application. We haven’t heard anything yet from IRCC…. Is anyone else in the same situation right now?
