Gud luck shuga..
what about medicals?Do you want to send the medicals too or does they directly get them?
DMP will send medicals directly to the requesting visa office. I think they don't give the reports to your hand.

That is correct. CIC would give you a form where you should fill in section A (or it could be pre-filled by CIC), leave all other sections blank. take this form to the doc along with your parent's original ppt - for id, the doctors would fill the rest of the form and mail the results directly to CIC. If they agree, most likely they would, ask them to send the results by courier - they would charge you extra for that, but at least you'd get a tracking number for that u can find out when it reached cic.

i believe that CIC asked to apply for police clearence certificate in their November letter... they did not ask to submit it - but asked to apply... that's what my parents did... and got it in December... so i sent the police clearance certificate to CIC last week when they asked for it...

Yes they did, and I called immigration to check if it meant that processing time is shorter now but they just repeated same more than 40 months so I did not ask my parent to apply for pc. I called them after I saw posts here and asked them to apply ASAP.
This site was more helpful than CIC.
Thanks Shuga, smom and sponsorparents for your replies

... my parents are not that healthy...

When you say, 'not healthy', does that mean they have to take lots of expensive medicines? If not, then you do not have to worry. CIC watches out for immigrants who could be 'excessive' drain on the healthcare system. They do take into account normal health issues, and would not penalise applicants for that.

good luck to you shuga. Stay positive. My friend's mom had VERY serious health issues but she landed here last year! And already had two surgeries in Canada.

They must have meant 40 months from the date of original application. Most people here had made their application in 2008.

Curious, why Buffalo? R u from US?
Anyway that means 2009 applicants also received documents request!! Not sure under what criteria, but one of my friend who submitted in2009 has not received anything from CIC.
