No, today I received an email about Progress Bar and when logged on it shows expected completion by May 1, 2021!!! Background check turned into We are processing your background check, it wad Not Applicable earlier.

Btw the letter earlier that I thought was Prearrival letter was actually AOR from the local visa office

I also received email from IRCC regarding progress bar. This is not a new feature as it has been there for quite sometime but rolled out for PGP now. My brother applied for his PR in August 2018 and got it in February 2019. Even his CIC account had this bar. DC1018's case is an example that many cases will be completed prior to 2021.

Heartiest congratulations. Did you also get IRCC mail regarding Progress Bar? If yes, it must be showing generic message that your case would be completed in 2021. This will provide clarity about the bar.

Yep, same email with everyone, believe it's just generic progress based on announced processing time. Mine still shows 21 months to go. Having said that, all my status in MyCIC are still in progress. I heard the status will only change to approved/completed after visa is attached.

Correct. It was completed in my brother's PR account after visa and COPR document was issued.
