We had submitted the webform to inform about newborn. We got a response from CIC saying that our file isn't in the system yet and asked us to resubmit the updated information after we receive AOR. Hope this helps.

No my parents file is not in process yet.. it's just at received stage and still I get same email. So I think everyone would have received email whose file has been officially received and reviewed.

I think the progress bar update is more likely implemented to discourage people who are calling to inquire about their application status.

Be patient! It's going to take some time. Truth is most of our applications will be done only in the next year.

I totally understand why many of us are impatient. Worried about the election and govt changes. What can we do? Just wait and hope all goes well.

It was a pre-planned roll out...nothing to do with the current PGP application process.

Your application to sponsor your parents and grand-parents now has a progress bar, which shows the time elapsed since we received your application. The progress bar gives you an estimated completion date based on our latest processing times.

The progress bar is available only if you have linked your application to your online account. Find out how to create an online account and link your application.

I am May 9th, haven't received DM or IME. It shows 24 months in status bar for me.

Progress bar is for all. Its a estimate time

Progress bar is the most useless thing, it simply shows 24 month - month passed since you submitted. It is only to deter people from bothering IRCC.
