A question around family size.

if one has a new born after the application and they have not given the consent for CRA, how would IRCC know that family size has changed?

or even when applying, if one did not include their children and did not provide CRA consent, how would IRCC know, if they have entered the correct family size.

By the way, I had entered correct information and I also update the IRCC about our new born from this month.

Even if you are not giving CRA consent, the section #6 on financial evaluation should have counted all your dependants (inc. kids) not doing so correctly will mean you have lied on the file and subject to revoke of PR/Citizenship once IRCC will find out that (even if years after)

Thanks, Looks like not all the May 8th applicants are pro active to update here I am guessing if no missing documents requested, we are seeing movement in order as they received files. Processed till May 7th last week and this week they picked up from May 8th.

From my experience in Spouse sponsorship, this not necessarily mean, they already started processing your background check. I and few others back then noticed that this message is default for few case files and then it changed to "Not applicable" and then changed again back to "We are processing". That's when they actually start processing it.

That is the standard message.
Background check takes quite a time, and usually does not start till Medical and PCC have been submitted. (My opinion based on my PNP application)

Agree with @ankz001 . My application shows that standard message from day 1 and its not even in process yet. The status is application received.

Can anyone who got PCC request tell me how much time does CIC provides for submission. And how are we expected to submit it? Scan and email them, mail the original copy, or something else. Kindly let me know. My Parents in Law have completed Biometric and Medical, just waiting for PCC request, so would like to know. Thanks

did you get your SA letter? what is your local visa office ( LVO)
your parents country of citizenship?
any other updates since July 3rd?

Thinking the same - Application Received on April 30th and no change in status "Application Received" since June. I cant even link my application

Does anyone also have ECAS showing "In Progress" for both SA and PR Application? In my case, the "In progress" for PR Application looks like a fake one because when i clicked on it it doesn't have the step "We started processing your application on XX date"

you can make affidavit if you don't have death certificate just in case, if CIC ask for it. do not wait for last minute. When CIC request it submit affidavit.
