Does anyone also have ECAS showing "In Progress" for both SA and PR Application? In my case, the "In progress" for PR Application looks like a fake one because when i clicked on it it doesn't have the step "We started processing your application on XX date"

Ecas for SA and PR update same time to "In process", during In process CIC can ask PA Bio

Can you check ECAS?
Also, did you call the IRCC to find out if there is any permanent file number?

It updated on the system first then one received the email. That's what happened to me all the time.

I linked mine. Application received April 30. Honestly I'm just happy to have AoR and confirmation that I'm in the 2019 batch. The wait is a killer but I'm surviving.

link with PA passport # and date and use following formula to count family member to link with myCIC.
[Sponsor + if cosigner] no kids + [PA + if dep]

Yup, that's the whole randomness of the process. Process some files very fast, some at medium speed and some at a very slow speed, that's how they average out the process to then say " we decreased the average processing times "
I'm guessing they are trying to process as many completed and straight forward files as they can before the third Monday of October

About half of 1st and 2nd May too, the way they process application causes a lot of frustration to people who worked hard to submit early yet receive a response later due to bad luck
