yes, new biometric is required even you gave it before

Yes. In my case, the PA's biometrics information was provided to IRCC for work permit in 2023, but the PR application still asked for it.

It's been really weird lol

My signature has my updates applied August 1st so far completed medical and Biometric no other update such as pre arrival, eligibility have started and background check is in progress from application started

It's really weird, I don't know why is it taking them all this time to update. And with Christmas and the new year holidays, it will take even longer!!!

Same, no update since Invitation to pre-arrival on October 5th. Medical not started yet. Any one knows if they need medical for everyone or will they exempt people who never left Canada after first arrival?
