I did the same thing, had a medical exam receipt and the list of tests done when PA had applied for Study permit, we just made a pdf and an explanation letter uploaded as pdf in the webform.
It got updated in 2 days as Medical completed. But BG has been in progress for 3 months now

Hello everyone, I submitted application on Oct 24, got AOR dec 3rd and BIL Jan 16.
My questions is: for eligibility, will it ever be marked as “in-progress” or does it get marked “completed” directly? What is the timeline that others have experienced and does the sponsor, PA or the agent get any email before eligibility has started or is completed?

Bro, seriously? It took you only 3 months? The processing time for common-law spousal sponsorship is now showing 28 months—is that even real??
Most applications I see on this forum seem to take 3-6 months at most, so I’m really confused.
I submitted mine yesterday (Feb 4, 2025) with an immigration consultant. Paid $2,300 CAD for their help with filling, gathering, and submitting documents, plus the $1,290 PR fee.
Can anyone confirm if 28 months is the real timeline, or are some applications still getting processed faster? This is stressing me out

Their application is still not completed so we can't say for sure. I got everything done except for the background check within 3 months, then waited another 6 months for the background check, but that was in 2023-2024. Now, I think we can't say for sure about the timeline so just gotta be patient and prepare for all the wait. Monitor your email and progress and provide them with more information/documents if asked in a timely manner.

that's only OWP approval, their PR is not finalized yet
it's always been a waiting game for everyone (except for a few who got lucky for whatever reason)
28 months is "real" as far as IRCC concern, in the sense if you ask them how is the status they will tell you it's still within "processing time"
and for sure some applications are still getting processed faster than that (much faster if again they get lucky)
better to stay calm and not getting stress over something out of our control
apply for OWP as soon as you can, it won't take that long
Hi, how did you receive GCMS notes? via mail or in portal?
In my case, I also submitted the Biometric on Nov 14, 2024. I got approved Eligibility and received Pre-Arrival letter on the same date. My Biometric, eligibility, and Medical has been completed.
