Thats correct it takes 6-8weeks.
I applied dec 31st. Feb5th OCI reached to Toronto. No updates after. I am checking on purolator for now with reference number. Hopefully I might get it by Friday. Have to wait and see.

Just now they have added comment about purelator tracking , But still tracking not enabled.
Mostly will get by tomorrow.

I applied for Indian Tourist Visa on 25th January at BLS-Brampton (Walk-In) and passport is on vehicle for delivery at my place today i.e. 8-Feb-2022.

Hopefully I would receive my passport with Tourist Visa. If so, my tourist visa timeline with walk-in application (BLS - Brampton) would be around 2 weeks.

On a side note, on an official government portal for Indian Visa, status is 'Under Process'. BLS tracker updated to 'Dispatched via Courier' on 7-Feb-2022.

Hopefully you got your passport with the Visa today!

If you can please confirm a couple of things:
How much did you have to pay as fee for the Visitor visa?
Can you clarify visa details since I think they are only issuing limited time visitor visa these days?

Once we submit the surrender of passport application, How long does it take before we can start tracking the application on the BLS India website?
The submission was made through Purlator (postal service).

Anyone submitted OCI application in Jan'22 1st week and have received their OCI card, please share some inputs/information.
I submitted my OCI application on 7th Jan'22 (walk-in at BLS Toronto) , received original back on 25th Jan'22 , since then its under process.
Any idea how long does it take ? Website says 6 to 8 weeks.

Now finally OCI printed Feb 9, 2022

On that note, you had mentioned earlier that you were asked for your wife's passport copies when your application was returned to you. There is no mention of anything relating to spouse's details on the checklist! Or am I missing something?

Question - I am looking for OCI first time so I have basic question and just want to confirm what I am reading is correct or not.
We have to submit Original Citizenship certificate and Canadian Passport ???? If I do walk-in and submit those, approximately how much time BLS take to return those ? And we have to pick-up those or they courier original documents ?

Not related - But why the f**k they need to hold original ?

I am really worried. I applied for OCI via postal application to BLS Brampton. They sent the application to CGI Toronto on 21st Jan 2022. On BLS tracking its showing under process in consulate. However, on OCI website, its still showing No Record found. Its been well over 15 days.. and the acknowledgement is still not showing up. What may have gone wrong? Any ideas?

Not to mention - BLS call center is always invalid or un reachable for past few weeks or so!
