If you can please confirm a couple of things:
How much did you have to pay as fee for the Visitor visa?
Can you clarify visa details since I think they are only issuing limited time visitor visa these days?
Visitor Visa - Single Entry - 30 Days Stay - Visa validity 4 months
Meaning you need to travel within 4 months from the date you receive tourist visa. Once in India, you can stay up to 30 days. Also, you can opt for such visa only once. You can find the notification here (https://www.hciottawa.gov.in/pdf/tender/pdf_10112021.pdf)
Visa Fee charged by India: $ 0
BLS Service Fee: $ 9.82 + tax
BLS Passport Delivery Charge: $ 30.5 + tax Total Cost: $ 45.52
It would be better to confirm if this single entry 30 days stay tourist visa is still applicable or if they changed rules recently.
Anyone submitted OCI application in Jan'22 1st week and have received their OCI card, please share some inputs/information.
I submitted my OCI application on 7th Jan'22 (walk-in at BLS Toronto) , received original back on 25th Jan'22 , since then its under process.
Any idea how long does it take ? Website says 6 to 8 weeks.

It appears that in almost all the cases, it takes exactly 3 weeks (to the day) between OCI website acknowledgment and OCI printing. Seems like clockwork!
On that note, you had mentioned earlier that you were asked for your wife's passport copies when your application was returned to you. There is no mention of anything relating to spouse's details on the checklist! Or am I missing something?
So I have put in my OCI application and I am planning on leaving Canada soon. Can my housemate go and collect my OCI card on my behalf? If yes, is there an authorization form somewhere that can be used?

My application is now up on the OCI website as of today. It shows “under process” for status. I didn’t receive any email notification, we have to keep checking daily.

I think most courier services would handover the package to a person living at the same household (proven with ID with address such as DL). If he/she lives at other address, just give an written authorization on a plain paper.

What is the File Reference Number for OCI? Im using the CANT number to track my application but it says, "No record found". It says under process on BLS tracking page.
