Applied walk-in on July 25th at Brampton and today is the 8th business day. It still says 'no records found' on the OCI site. Hoping for update later today. If not probably mid week next week. I have seen recent updates here where two of applicants status was updated on the OCI site exactly at 8 business days of submission at BLS. Fingers crossed.

I submitted same day as well and I see OCI application acknowledgment dated today.

I just checked and I see the acknowledgement as well. Seems like 8 business days is what it takes.

@ramsay1212 - when you submitted the OCI request in walkin, did you have to submit the original passport/docs too or just the copies?

Lately BLS are not taking any original documents. They just verify the originals and take the copies and give all originals back when you apply via walk in.

BLS Status: Counter Delivery to BLS Centre after OCI stamping (August 4 2023), they said I should expect to receive it next week by Wednesday August 9th
I had mailed the application via purolator on June 26th, so would have taken a total of 44-45 days

@ramsay1212 - when you submitted the OCI request in walkin, did you have to submit the original passport/docs too or just the copies?

They didn't keep any originals but did ask for it to authenticate the copies and returned them on the spot.

My application status in UNDER PROCESS on oci site (from last 2 weeks). I applied through BLS walk-in. I am little concerned that my documents are as per requirement or I shouldn’t be worried since my application is UNDER PROCESS on oci site.
