Hi All,
I just need a confirmation on the below,

I can surrender my Indian passport without Canadian passport, I just need to write a self explanation letter to BLS that I have not applied for Canadian passport yet. And provide Citizenship Certificate.
Is this correct?

They don't accept letter stuff, not sure about the process but it happened with me. So you need to have Canadian passport to Surrender Indian passport.

BLS need to update their site, instructions/checklist with this. Practically everyone should know that they shud to have one valid travel document before surrendering passport. Its kinda of a no brainer.

I created one pdf of indian passport (first and last page) + surrender certificate and uploaded it to Indian passport option
