Not sure why for your case its showing as "In Transit from Consulate General to BLS Centre". Only after OCI card has been generated then only CGI will send to BLS.

Did you submit any originals? Indian & Canadian passports will be returned this way.

If your package was missing these, they will reject your application and send it back, in that case your application was not successful

I submitted on Aug 4, they AOR me on 22nd, you might see it on Friday or next week

Minor application for OCI who's a Canadian citizen by birth.

I made a couple of mistakes in my OCI application for my son.

1. I forgot to upload my wife's passport in the documents upload. Only uploaded mine. I can't reupload her passport copy as the application is already registered at Mission Vancouver. However, I have submitted her passport copy along with mine at BLS center.
2. On my son's passport, Issuing Authority was 'Calgary-South' but in the Place of issue on OCI application, I put 'Calgary'.

Would the above reasons be a cause of rejection?

Do you think HCI Vancouver would contact me to upload the Wife's passport copy.

Please assist. I am very worried as the travel date is in Oct 1st week.

Same to same case just application date is different.
Minor application from Calgary just applied on Aug 25.
As long as you uploaded one of the parent passport then no need to worry. I asked while applying about mothers passport so don't worry.

What is the status of your application now?
No acknowledgement for us yet.

Even I am not sure, maybe it's for returning my indian passport that was submitted with the application.

I haven't received any acknowledgement in the email. I checked it on the OCI enquiry page.

I am still waiting for mine to show up on the OCI website...Lol!

I have a renewal application for my kid. submitted in person on 17th Aug. Under process at the consulate as of 1st September. I will update as the application moves along. But my timelines might not be a good indicator for others since it is for renewal and I had to submit only a couple of documents.

Even not considering the OCI application, it would be best to get the Canadian passport re-issued to avoid problems in the future. Get the city of birth corrected - That would be my suggestion.

Hi, sorry to bring this thread back up again. But just curious to know what problems could arise in the future because of this difference in place of birth.
From my understanding, as long as we submit an affidavit with the OCI application and the place of birth is same on both OCI and our Canadian passports, we should be fine.
I am in a similar situation with my wife's passport and going to apply for our OCIs soon, therefore really curious to know about this.
