I did not get an acknowledgement email. That showed up on the tracker. Applied on 2nd Dec and it showed acknowledgement date of 6th December for some days before changing to Processing status.

I needed to update the OCI card for my child after renewal of his Canadian passport, i wasn’t aware of the new requirement for voter ID surrender
For kids’ oci, do they only need declaration that kids are not on the ration card OR they want parents’ separate declaration too that parents have surrendered voter id/ration card?
If later is the case, how do i get my name deleted from ration card? I am a married woman and my husband and i don’t have a ration card together But I had my name on an old ration card with my parents. My parents are abroad too since past 17 years and we never used that ration card. We are not even sure where it is, how do we get my name removed from it if needed.

I am in same situation, OCI update is rejected. my kid is not entered in ration card but as per notification. Dated November 5, 2024 parents need to update declaration and I understand parents need to do for themselves as well if applicable both for ration card and voter ID

I have a query for OCI. In my case my spouse Voter card details dont show up when i try to search on this portal (https://electoralsearch.eci.gov.in/), it does not show up. Does that mean the Voter card is already cancelled ?
Also, can anyone provide steps to surrender Voter ID ? Do i need to send the form to email or upload somewhere ?

Similar situation, I can see my details and know that form 7 online needs to be filled. Currently that form has some issues. I have Card copy for my wife but when I try searching nothing shows up. still sorting to see what other options I have. Will message here if i am able to sort this out
I sent again now with the form but just by clicking that my child is not added on the ration card. Now waiting..!
But i think they will need my and my husband’s declaration too..
What did you do? How to get name from my parents ration card deleted when they are also abroad since long time and none of us have used that old ration card.
That's pretty fast, usually I have seen 30-35 days for Toronto applications. And there were some people here posted recently about the delays, may be now after the voter id/ration card requirement we'll see varying timelines case to case.
Yes I did and confirmed declaration for child and myself and my spouse is needed
Fingers Crossed, hope it works but most likely on seeing your parents passport copy they will return and ask for your declaration.
