OCI process

Right now in my desperate situation I am okay they keep my courier fee, just allow me to pickup in person as soon they get OCI card.

If we ask for courier fee refund or flexibility to not to pay and pickup in person only, they may remove this flexibility and we will be in bigger trouble.

This is an argument which should be saved for future when we have alternative like eVisa.

That can be a big source of confusion. You go there expecting to collect and they don't have it, because they posted it to your mailing address.

Honestly i don't want that to happen because there is no one to recieve it thats why I opted for pickup. Hope i can go there to collect it directly. But they haven't updated with "ready for collection" at BLS

Online Status was visible today - BLS acknowledged they received the application but not sent to Indian mission.

In same situation, I have my real sisters wedding in early November and suppose to fly on Oct 27th and both evisa and OCI are in process and no alternatives.. Dont know when will situation improve I hope you can make it on time

Hope you get Acknowledgement tomorrow. Did BLS show its with Consulate General from 24th or was there a delay?

I applied for OCI for myself and my 2 kids at BLS Vancouver through courier on September 5.
Date of Acknowledgment : Sep 13
Application status: under process.
We have our tickets booked for Nov 7. Fingers are crossed

Along with my application, we submitted OCI applications for my wife and children as well We still had to go and collect theirs

With the current timeline, I am hoping an update by Friday or Monday.

Processed on 19th is your best case scenario and it has been taking a few days for delivery to BLS after that. Plan to somehow pickup in person at that point. Its tight but could work. Good luck.
