My weekend is so so, someone hacked my bank card back home and spend some money. This is the bank account I keep some money back in my country and I used card to shop maybe 4-5 times in one year and it still was hacked. Crazy :o and I noticed by accident, it is rare I check this account, so probably at the end of the month it would have been empty.
The reason why I am telling you this story is: if your loved ones after they finally will move to Canada still decides to keep some accounts back home, or property, or anything - get The power of attorney. I recommend to give someone you trust (parents, sisters, brothers, etc.) the power of attorney to all institutions that in cases of emergency it is much easier to deal locally than from Canada by phone or even to fly back. It is rare that we get rid of all the ties with our home countries, so it is nice to know that someone can take care of business while we are away. In my case I think it was the best investment ever to get power of attorney, my dad was able to fix situation at the early stage with the bank and I don't need to worry being far away with my blocked card :) Of course, it needs to be someone you completely trust :)

Sorry that happened to you... but I am glad you were able to get it resolved with minimal fuss...

It's a solid tip as well... :)

Hi guys, my applications been received since November 30th, 2015 and still no news. Do you guys think if there was something wrong with the application it would of been sent back by now?

Yes most likely. I wouldn't worry, check out the November spreadsheet, there's still people from 26, 27, and 28th all still waiting for AORs.

eCAS status went to 'In Progress' sometime today, which is weird, considering it's a Sunday here in the Philippines.

Either way, glad things are moving along!

Yeah i noticed, however it seems like they're running a little behind schedule... im past the 64 days by a few days... hopefully the coming week brings us those SAs and AORs!

Yep, although mine is 67 days now and still no SA. Hoping to get it by the end of next week

Hi Everyone,

Hope everyones weekend is going well. I just had a quick question, I have received my AOR and now waiting for the SA. Can my file still be returned back if something is missing or not properly done? or is it too late?

thank you.

Im not 100% sure but I doubt it. If anything is wrong or they are missing forms they do not usually acknowledge the application, they usually send it right back with a letter or not on what was wrong...
