That is OLD news. It's been mulled over here at length.
I want you to CITE and OFFICIAL source for these lines of text in your original post:
The proposed regulations, pre-published in the Canada Gazette Part I on December 29, 2012, have now been approved. We expect the final regulations to be published in the Canada Gazette Part II on February 12, 2014.
The coming into force date for these regulations, as stated in the final regulations themselves, has been scheduled for this spring, more specifically, June 2014.
No, it is not. There could be changes. They want to eliminate some of the colleges because of bad history of their work with international students.
The overall objective of these proposed amendments would be to strengthen the integrity of Canada's immigration program by requiring study permit holders to actively pursue their studies, reducing the number of non-genuine and poor quality educational institutions hosting study permit holders,
And here they are not talking about the students of "non-designated institution" which are not on today's list,
but about institutions which are on the list now but will be excluded at the moment when the new regulations come in force:
Upon the coming into force of these proposed Regulations, those students who already hold a study permit and are studying at a non-designated learning institution would be permitted to complete the program of study in which they were enrolled for the duration of that permit, and to obtain an extension for this purpose
No, this list is CURRENT relates to the CURRENT regulations. Official release of the changes have yet to be posted. I have checked *and check daily( for news in Gazette and on CIC and I have yet to see publicized news that corroborates the original post in this thread that the changes will be published Feb 12. I have also not seen anything that says @this list will be valid with the new regulations when they come in to effect.
The lists HAS changed though. At the bottom of the page it says it was last updated Jan 30.
Unfortunately, at the moment only " a word of mouth".
But you can use your common sense too when you look for a school. Do not go to some shitty college only because their tuition is below any common sense in comparison to proper universities.
