new changes for international students off campus part time work

Hi,

I need some information RE the new changes that were to take place in January 2014 for part time off-campus work for international student.
I know that before international students are to have a off-campus work permit when they want to work part time off campus. Now there seems to be a change that a work- permit is no longer required if an international students are to work part time off campus. I am talking about a student who has already been in Canada for 2 years and wants to work off campus for part time.

Does anyone know anything about that, any thing can help.

The changes you are referring to have NOT been implemented yet. They are still suggestions for the govt to act upon. So a work permit is still required to work off campus. If you have been a student for 2 years, you qualify to apply for a OCWP immediately
