Congratulations on your DM and PPRs
I am an October 2015 applicant, got my DM updated on 3rd may,
I also applied for TRV (temperory resident visa) last month and got its approval today,So planned to visit Canada on May 12 to see my husband. As my DM got updated I may expect my PPR anytime.
Anybody here have any idea regarding further processing of my sponsorship application from Canada? Can I send my passport to New Delhi from Canada upon PPR ? Is there any way out processing my sponsorship application being in Canada? I really can't wait more to see my husband when I have my TRV and flight reservation in hand.
Please do help me out as soon as possible. It may help others too. I'm pretty sure there must be many like me here.
Good luck!!
You cannot send passport from Canada to India. What you can do instead is once you get PPR request while in Canada, you can request cic if you can submit your passport to Ottawa for landing Visa. They generally allow for this and you can get it stamped in Canada and do landing here itself.

If you enter Canada on TRV, you can submit your passport to Ottawa upon PPR. That option is present in the PPR.
Although, you may consider that if you enter Canada on TRV, you may not be allowed a lot of your stuff. You'll have to declare your stuff while landing as PR within Canada and then carry it in your next trip. Whereas if you enter Canada as landing for PR, you can carry as much as you want. If you can manage your stuff part, go ahead and come to Canada on TRV.
