It only takes 7 weeks for a work permit, the PR time is the same old or new rules, main difference is that you will be waiting out the PR processing time in Canada while running your business and hopefully making some money!

Yes but under the old system - as bchatila said above I could apply for work permit and would then end up in the same position as someone on the new scheme but with $100k less in my pocket!
