Hi, I took the test on July 17. Generally, how long will it take to update the status in the tracker?

2-10 business days for most cases, depending on the office. Few rare cases had it updated at the end of the test window.

I got email and update from tracker as well.
Its kind of weird that I got fingerprint request email from Vancouver office but the citizenship test email from Niagra Fall office.

Yes, all fingerprint requests are mostly sent from Vancouver office for everyone irrespective of your local processing office (except a few who got from Sydney recently and a few from Montreal).
So your local processing office is Niagara Falls which sent the test invite.

The AORs are sent from centralized CPC Sydney for everyone and then transferred to local processing offices. You can find the processing office from the test invite PDF (contact us section email ID). If you are unable to determine, paste the email ID here and we can tell you the processing office.

Hi! I got a ghost update yesterday, but I still see nothing on my tracker today. I also didn’t receive any email, so I’m assuming it’s not test. Would it be the background check?

There are no emails sent for ghost updates, or for that matter real updates as well, unless it requires an action from you like giving the test, giving fingerprints, attending Oath etc. You might see the real update in the tracker in 2 business days or sometimes longer.

I dont see your info on the tracker, could you please share so that I can add it?
