Congrats.

With IRCC you are not done until you are done. I have seen people getting oath cancelled last minute and then waiting for months to reschedule. Oath email not having zoom links/passwords. Oath email not sent in time. People have taken oath and not received e-certificate for weeks..

Yes, I am aware of the countless issues that IRCC can come up with that we can't even imagine. I know I am not done with them until I download my certificate without any errors, but at least each step brings you closer to the finish line :)

Citizenship application process is so much more unpredictable nowadays. I remember going through FSW process 6/7 years back and there was much more predictability at least at that time.

Yes, my FSW was lightning fast around 7 years ago, I think around 2 months it was all done. But even then ircc didn't disappoint when I sent my passport for stamping, it was like it went into a blackhole. Ircc couldn't locate my passport for 3-4 months, I almost thought I lost my passport. And then suddenly one day it was at my doorstep with the stamp.

I chose the paper type of citizenship certificate on my application.

Hello

I would like to know if any of you guys have successfully tried to request for an in-person oath ceremony and how long it took to get one scheduled.
Particularly, I was wondering if the invite for an in-person ceremony will delay the timeline much more than deciding to attend the virtual ceremony on zoom.

that is very unlikely that prohibition is pending but background is green. I think you may be stuck in security screening.
