Yesterday I managed to successfully speak with an agent for the first time! She was very nice and kind.

I have everything completed and I am waiting to be invited for the oath ceremony. I wanted to know about my chances to become a citizen to potentially be able to vote in the coming election. Her response broke my heart though! She said even after becoming a citizen and receiving the certificate, it takes a while for vote registration or something like that. I couldn't really understand what she was talking about but basically it sounded like I don't stand a chance.

This election is really important to me considering everything that is happening! I am kind of sad that I can't vote. I just wanted to vent here :D

The important thing is you'll be a citizen soon and there will be more elections you can vote in ;). Congratulations again :)

Today I saw an update that my background verification has been completed and then turned back to progress the same day. What could this mean? Has this happened to anyone?
