no, it doesn't always appear. there are many people who have never been able to sign into ecas and/or their ecas sits with no update even after landing as a PR. this is why ECAS is not a reliable source when it comes to application processing. It is not out of the norm to receive your COPR before your ECAS changes to DM.
I'm Australian so visa exempt too, and no stamp needed. It took 4 business days from when I saw DM on the website, until I received an email with next steps. From what I understand, they have asked me to send them a photocopy of my passport and a couple photos and then I get the COPR after that. I think! I hope!
I'm in Canada and my application went to Ottawa. I haven't received the actual COPR yet, I have sent in a copy of my passport and photos today which is the final request, I sent an prepaid express envelope as per their request, so I'm guessing they are sending me back something important

Applied on March !5th, but until June no news, checked eCAs everyday, just says "IN Process" No SA news. I send e-mail to CIC to find out I was approved as Sposonr and they say they sent a letter, never received it. eCas not updated properly, so do not rely on it to find out the status of your

Oh, I didn't realize that. Well, I didn't get an email from them, I've checked my spam several times. I also called in to the call centre last Thursday and they said that something was mailed to me. I just think it got lost in the mail and now I am waiting for CIC to respond to my CSE about it. CSE submitted June 24th.
