i checked the new portal it says background eligibility in progress and started on Jan 25 .... my medical was completed Dec 7th ... this seems much slower for us then others. Anyways does anyone have any time line on how much time it takes to complete eligibility check ?

well, you can always compare to us and feel better, we still haven’t heard anything after AOR in November

So I found the new portal, what an improvement!

Seems like the guessing game to see if the site is going to load or send us back to the homepage after login, is no longer a thing.

I logged into the site and saw he address on file was an old address from when we used to live in Canada! I probably used that address in some process at the time, but that was not the address in our application.

I submitted a form with the correction, but to complicate things we are moving in April… I mentioned this and added both addresses, the current and the future one.

I wonder if that has anything to do with our delay… let’s see what they say.

It's a new tracker and you should consider it a beta. It's quite possible there are parts that are not working, or that when they make system changes as they test it that it updates the last updated field.

Huge news for us! We just received an update in GCkey that the COPR was issued with today's date 16-02-2022. So after waiting 203 days in silence for AOR, everything went super fast afterwards

Not sure of visa office. SA didn't mention. Most likely Ottawa. Will know for sure once COPR arrives in the mail.

I am hoping whatever agent processed your file turns his/her attention to ours... we still haven't heard back anything since the AOR in November. Even getting Sponsor and Applicant approval would be so helpful. In Ontario my wife can apply for OHIP by showing this status, otherwise we'll have to buy travel insurance when we go in April :/

I'll contact my MP if I don't hear anything this month. Not sure it will do anything, but at least we're poking someone.

@Jojosa hope your application will move forward soon. When we got AOR on Dec 23,we were really surprised, we actually stopped trying to login to ecas our call the automated messages for about 2 months already. Once it got moving things went really fast, I'm sure the same will be in your case.

It works for me. Last update for me was Feb 3. How about you guys?
