Is it just me, or is there a step missing? Whatever happened to "We sent you correspondence..."

This has been a common scenario lately. Applicants do not get AOR but their applications progress to IP. IRCC and their mysterious ways!

Right, but this is the first time that I noticed the missing step explicitly reported by someone (Someone probably has reported it earlier, no doubt)

January 2020 applicants have started receiving invitations. Here are 3 examples below:

I noticed a friend has been invited to the online test as below timeline:
Application Received: Jan 3rd, 2020
AOR: March 12, 2020
Test Invitation: Jan 20, 2021

Someone from January application got a test invite. this is from group on Facebook
Applied January 2020 and AOR in august 2020

Progress....., I got my test invite on Tuesday!

Why so late? Was not the whole purpose of their ordeal with online testing is to make it faster and easier?

Ircc is supposed to be conducting a pilot test of the new online test? When are they graduating from pilot test to actual implementation?

I can see many people are getting the invite now. It's better than before.

If they're inviting people from 2020, that probably means the pilot was successful & they are continuing it. I read somewhere that the pilot went way better than they expected. Can someone dig anything up about that?

Yeah so I think I tried to be clever and now I've concluded they've lost or misplaced my actual citizenship applications. Received the new PR cards in November, but no AOR for citizenship yet. Does anyone please have an email address to get in touch with the Sydney office? I want to ask them to please look in my PR file to see whether the citizenship applications were not mistakenly filed in there....

So further to this, CPC Sydney has now returned my applications citing they are 'stale-dated', meaning they received them 90 days after signature.
The thing is, they received it together with my PR card replacement application in the same envelope in June 2020, but then misplaced the citizenship applications, and only rediscovered it on Oct 19, by which time it was stale, and I only received them back now. Quite frustrating, but at least I know where I stand now.

So, please update the spreadsheet. I'll resend today and move to the February 2021 thread. Good luck everyone!
