It seems very strange in case its true. And even if its true it can be considered as an outlier and specific to that case and we cannot derive any conclusions out of it. There are still several 2019 applicants still waiting for a test invite and logically it has not moved to Jan 2020 yet
^ Not every application is the same, some are pretty straightforward and easy to process and some applicants might have "more challenging" history to review. Plus is also depending on local office capacity. I think the fastest are from BC, and slowest from Ontario where is everything still on lockdown.
But let's hope with this finally online tests and oats system working, everything speed up now
I have been listening to the audiobook version of the study guide on car rides. To supplement, I have downloaded “Canadian Citizenship Test” from Jingying Zhang and “Canadian Citizenship 2021” from Wei Zhang mobile apps on my phone.
I saw this yesterday. Before that somebody march 2020 got test invite.
Problem is probably 99% of people in this group show their ignorance in one way or another. They often ask - where do i take citizinship photo, do i need to sign photos, etc.
I am not trying to judge individual people, but group is garbage. This forum is million times more useful than group

I remember a few years back citizenship process for most straightforward applicants was this quick, even the slower ones got processed in 6-8 months time.
not sure if the above person had their file under urgent processing?
some minor and 55 years older applications have moved faster cause of no knowledge test requirement.
we might get lucky in the coming months if online test and oath ceremonies are scaled up by sleepy IRCC
my point was a validity of information. I think forum is more trusted than group.
I remember when FB group was giving false info about online tests prior to CIC announcement.
Hi, I checked my ECAS status after a while today. Turned out I am IN PROCESS since Feb 06. Could someone please update this info on the tracker, please?
The next step is "Test Invitation", right?
I never got any email when the status changed from"Application Received" to "In Process". I am wondering if I would receive an email when they invite me for the test? Anybody can confirm, please?
P.S. Just figured out my AOR date is not updated in the spreadsheet as well. I received the AOR (by calling IRCC) on January 14th. So I would really appreciate it if someone could update these for me, please.
My citizenship application is in process ( and as you all know, we have no clue about further processing and tests invites as of now). If I plan to travel outside of Canada to visit my ailing father do I need to inform IRCC and please guide me how to do it..
