July 2020 - Citizenship application

All done and my passport is in my hand. I applied by mail and it took only 3 weeks from citizenship ceremony to passport. Thank you everyone for your help since years ago when I applied for a bridging permit, express entry via Quebec to PR in Ontario and then citizenship. As always message me if you need help with anything.

My BG verification was marked completed on Jul 12, 2021, now I see that the Background verification status has been updated to In progress...

Why is this happening? I submitted my fingerprints last year

You will need to do the fingerprints again since its only valid for a year. Happened with me as well.

Took the oath last week and got the cert this week.
It took 24 month from the AOR date to oath date.

End of a long journey.

Looks like backlog is finally getting cleared.

Hi - I am in the same boat as well. My Background Verification also turned from Completed to In progress. How long did it take for your receive the letter requesting for the 2nd time finger prints..??

Should we wait for the letter or can we proactively do and send it to them..?? will this be faster.

Little more than 3 months xD

You will need the letter because it has the address to where the fingerprints will have to be sent, but if you live outside of Canada then you should start by reaching out to companies that handle that situation and can get a head start like that.
