I am abit confused when it comes to the members who called IRCC to get the application #. Is any of you not seeing anything on ecas and you received the application # by the phone ? or you called IRCC because it only said application received when you checked ecas?

That's right. We found only the application received in ecas and I wanted to check what is this about as there was no AOR details. Then we got the application numbers C00******* over the phone by the IRCC agent and told that it will be communicated soon by post. I was bit nervous as application recieved says, CPC has received the documents and officer will validate them.
What we suspect is there was some i error where myself and 2 more members communication mode got changed from email to mail.
I checked my ECAS today and it shows application received. No AOR email yet though. Not sure when my ECAS was updated, last time I checked it was probably before Christmas - with no updates then.
Also, when I was trying to locate my application on ECAS, the country of birth didn't work so I try to enter my country of citizenship and it worked. So I assumed they entered my country of citizenship as my country of birth which is different. Another thing is that when i logged into my ECAS to my surprise I saw that my mailing address is like from 5 years ago, probably from the time when I applied for PR. Though my home address was listed correctly. Such a mess, I don't know how they are not paying attention to such details.
Will probably phone them to get my AOR number as well as to check what do they have as my preferred method of communication because as far as I remember it was never a mail but email.
Anyway, please add me to the spreadsheet:
Location: Toronto
Application: Single
Physical Presence: 1105
App sent: July 7
App received: July 13
NO AOR yet
Guys do you know if there is anywhere we could directly call,
I haven't got AOR yet - which I thought was normal - but checking my status it still shows no information as application received either and that gets a bit worrisome . I sent app in July 23 - courier indicates it arrived on July 28 but nothing else : (

following up on my previous post, earlier this morning was able to reach CIC by phone. Was informed by the agent that my application was opened and my AOR is about to be sent within the next few days. Also was given my application number, and asked the agent to put my email as preferred method of correspondence instead of a mail just in case if it is not showing in their system. The agent confirmed that all the correspondence will be sent to my email.
