Just checked my ecas and my status is changed to in progress. No medicals yet, however it's possible my lawyers are sitting on it right now...

No idea when exactly, just happened to check today after a couple of days.

It says they started processing my application on the 16th of May though...

Thanks! Receiving a MR right now would be so relieving... Sigh.
No I haven't applied yet. My work permit expires in January 2014 and there's still time for me to apply for a BWOP. I think I will apply in August.

That's incorrect. And I (and everyone else) would appreciate if you guys stop providing wrong information. All information about GCMS request can be found online at cic.gc.ca/english/department/atip/requests-personal.asp and it explicitly says it is recommended to provide consent form for anyone over 18 years old.
From my personal experience, the first time i applied and didn't provide the consent of my wife, my request was refused. So yes, it might fly in certain cases/officers, but do you really want to take a chance and waste a whole month waiting?

If you would like to see scanned copies of all submitted documents/communication with CIC - apply for physical notes. If you want to see the status of your processing - electronic files. You can apply for both by different requests, it is done online now so its pretty quick and convenient.

nope, still "application received".. i'm guessing it hasnt updated yet! maybe tomorrow or next week?

Good question.

It varies from just 1 week to 12 weeks according to posts in this forum.
