Yes, if delays for LPP have been due to election (something I've speculated is possible), then we might see these starting to pick up. Fingers crossed.

There are different versions of the theory. My theory is that it would not be surprising if IRCC had a rule/process internally to 'pause' citizenship apps at a certain point (for certain steps) so that there could be no accusation of govt 'stuffing the polls' with new citizens. (Whcih by numbers is silly but hypothetically if done enough in a very tight race in a small location, not impossible)
Given that there have been actual accusations that govts do this ("importing immigrants to vote for them") to benefit their vote count,* it's not at all surprising that they *might* have a procedure. But it's my speculation.
(If they did this, it would likely be only to pause apps from going past LPP to oath in the six weeks or so of the election.)
*BTW the results if anything kind of belie the notion that this is a reliable way to get votes anyway, but the accusation was never based on the truth.
I submitted my online application on January 24, 2025
AOR: 07 Feb 2025
Test invitation: March 3, 2025
Test taken: March 7, 2025
Test completed: March 21
Fingerprint request on March 13, 2025
Fingerprint given on March 14, 2025
There has been no update since then. I am waiting for my BG to be completed, but there has been no update since March 21.
On March 20, 2025, I called the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) to ensure they received my fingerprint and sent it to the IRCC Office in Vancouver. The RCMP officer told me they received my fingerprints and mailed the report to the IRCC office. Since then, there has been no update on my citizenship application.
Today, April 29, 205, I called IRCC, and an officer answered. I asked him if the IRCC office had received my fingerprint report. The officer checked first and then told me that it might be that the IRCC Vancouver Office did not receive it.
The IRCC officer advised me to send a letter to the IRCC Vancouver office to ensure they receive my fingerprint report. She gave me the IRCC Vancouver Fax number to send the letter. I did the letter today and tried to send it by Fax, but the number was invalid.
Has anyone given their fingerprint more than a month ago, and has there been no update so far?

I think it’s more general, even the election is a factor here, why it will affect the LPP clearance? Remember from LPP to oath invitation - there is still some gap time.
Also, out of curiosity, will IRCC go back to the PR application to verify things there? Is that part of the background/prohibitions ?

now waiting for LPP ( I was scratching my head what is LPP now figured it's "L" = Language skills, "P" = Physical presence and "P" = Prohibitions )

Point being, once a file gets LPP clearance, that is precisely when 'undue influence' (pressure for partisan purposes) would be useful to get more votes cleared, i.e. to accelerate getting oath date. It's administrative (no major policy issues, just scheduling), so no need to override 'important stuff' (law requiring the LPP standards are met). And so if you wanted to cut off/minimize even a hint of such pressure - suspend (most) LPP clearance temporarily, from the date of the election being called, as after LPP most get oath date within the 6 wks or so of election.
But again: it's a theory. Speculation.
