CIC received application on Jan 23, 2020. Requested finger print on March 24, 2021 and as per RCMP they have sent my fingerprint request to CIC on April 1, 2021. Any guess when I should get a test invitation? Thanks in advance.
here is my details..

1. We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on January 23, 2020.
2. We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s), and a study book called Discover Canada on August 18, 2020.
3. We started processing your application on October 22, 2020.

How did you verify RCMP send it to IRCC ?

I received my test invitation today. Please update:

In process- August 20th, 2020
Test Invite- April 22nd, 2021

My cousin who has similar dates and is from Brampton also got her test invite today hence it seems now they are sending invites to Jan 2020 applicants. So all of us should be getting the invite soon...

Also not in all locations in ON. Its only couple of the offices we see sending test invites actively.

And keep in mind that Ontario has a lockdown.

After a year of this pandemic, i doubt that lockdown can slow it down still. Long back they were planning to scan the files to work from home. I think that by now all have access to work from home if in case of lock down.
During last stricter lockdown itself they were adjudicating many applications. Its still same problem of cic workers not working, same as last year.

How did you verify RCMP send it to IRCC ?

There is an email address you can email to ask. We emailed them to verify they sent to IRCC. They told us they sent fingerprints in December. Took 4 months form the time we sent fingerprints in to get the test invite.

Does any have any idea like how long will it take to get test invite after requesting for finger prints? And also any one from Ottawa who's file is getting processed in Vancouver ?

It took 4 months. My husband submitted fingerprint November 2020 and received the test invite April 1. But again things might be moving quicker now. Not sure if this is an accurate timeline.

That is correct! Other option is to request to reschedule if one prefers.

The test is done online now, not in person.
