IRCC does have a pilot project in Vancouver to resume in-person retests (https://www.canada.ca/en/immigratio...l-resumption-in-person-services-sep-2020.html). Do you know if this is your friend's first test or a retest?

I called IRCC yesterday and asked about my application and testing. Asked about testing in Vancouver and she confirmed they are conducting pilot programs in regards to citizenship tests there. I asked if she has any idea when I would receive my test invite and she of course said no; this as a result of Covid. She said that many offices are currently reopening certain in person programs but very slowly and small scale. She said to keep checking my email inbox, fairly often because that is where they will send my test invite.

Just checked my eCas (didn’t check for a while) and the status changed to In Process since November 6.

Yeah that makes sense... I don't think they've started scheduling first-time tests, just retests for now...

I removed the entries. There is an editor in particular who keeps on updating these changes, when none of those forum users have reported a test invite letter. They did the same thing back in August, reporting that @rssr.canada had received a test invite letter, and that entry was removed. I will e-mail the owner of the spreadsheet and ask that they remove this editor's access.

I think you can expect a COVID vaccine before your test invite. It’s gonna be a long long wait. People from fall of last year are still awaiting their test invites and IRCC hasn’t sent out any test invites since March, 2020.

It'll probably be a few months from now. There are still people who were in process in 2019 and early 2020 that are still waiting for their tests. Unless the government announces rapid reopening or online tests, expect a long wait....
