try calling them , they can atleast give you temporary file number , and the prospect of the file too.

This is clear they have picked up the files of January 14 to 18th . I am not sure what criteria they would have been using .

I am Jan 10th and still waiting. Maybe the same VO has our files and is behind. I called them this morning and they said mine was received but they haven’t started working on it as yet.

I'm Jan 14, no update, nothing on ECAS, can't link file, no email. I'm getting really worried. I'm just calling them now. I'm sure I might not get much out of them but calling them anyway.

For those who have received AOR:
was the email sent to the sponsor or the PA?
Has anyone received an AOR but is still unable to find the application status on ecas?

I (sponsor) have not received an AOR yet and Ecas search with my UCI number and info OR with receipt # and PA's info yields no results.

Don't call them. Do not. The average time for AOR is 50-55 days. Some are getting AOR in 60 days. For you just 49 passed. What is the reason to call? What do you want to hear from them? You haven't even reached the average time yet.
So many people complain how hard it is to reach an assistant when calling to IRCC call centre, and all this because of the incredible number of calls. But why do we need to create that incredible number? Just sit and wait. Wait and don't call. If you don't hear anything in the next 10 days, then at least you have some little reason to worry. But not now.
