Received an email this afternoon.
Title: Improvements coming to your account
Starting March 6, you will see a progress bar for your online application. The progress bar shows the time elapsed since we received your application. It will also give you an estimated completion date based on our latest estimated processing times.
We will let you know by e-mail when the progress bar is available for your application.
Wondering, is it an email everyone received? Or people get this after the processing start? I got my AOR 1 on Mar 1, 2019.
Thanks
Originally submitted oct. app returned and resubmitted jan 17th. Checked ecas with my info, and nothing. Checked with pa info and showed in process. Finally!!!!!
Sent back the receipt? Or is that a biometrics request?
I did the same thing. Did not pay the biometrics upfront, only paid 1040, because at the time I was preparing the app, not all countries are require to have biometrics, including philippines.. But then after reading about the new checklist, I read that as of Dec 31,2018, all countries are require to have biometrics.
Yes when you pay the biometric fee which is 85 Canadian dollars you need to send it in with your file , after they receive it you should get a letter regarding where to go to do the biometric
Temporary file number only means that they have file in progress but completeness of file has not been completed yet. Temporary file number starts with XF in the front and with final file number, they remove X.
My File-transferred email was addressed to Sponsor.
Biometric request and Medical request come in separate emails.
I know your biometric request is still not sent to you, but it can be any days before DM, no one knows, it doesn't mean you are declined, so don't panic.
When did they received your app? I was only successfully linked ours after seeing ECAS “in process”. Maybe try some other time. You’ll be able to link it for sure.

Hi, sorry if this has been answered before. I searched some threads and the answers didn't seem 100 percent clear. My spouse has applied for outland and since I dont expect them to get PR until next dec/jan I would like to move overseas to Korea and spend the year with them. I would hopefully teach for the school year (Sept to June). Would this hurt or affect our PR application? I am a Canadian citizen and we have been married since 2015. Thanks in advance!

Welcome on board! If you are a Canadian CITIZEN (who has Canadian passport) who applied OUTLAND then it wouldn't matter. Make sure to update your address with cic if you moved to a new address. It even potentially helps to make your case more convincing if you fly to your spouse's country and spend time together.
This case doesn't apply to PR sponsor, or INLAND application. So if others see this post please double check with CIC.

It can potentially cause problems. If you are a Canadian citizen, living abroad when sponsoring a spouse, you have to provide additional evidence that you will return to Canada upon approval of spouse's PR.

Yes, I agree on the risk as well. They will need extra paperwork to prove both of you are "intended to settle in Canada". I'd call and check with cic before changing residency to another country during application.
My file received at Nova Scotia on 14th jan
. No reply till yet. I have done one big mistake that is I did esign on Imm008 instead of hand sign. So I m sure they will return my file but I got nothing. My next file is ready for resubmission. Any idea how long it will take them to return my file?
