Jan 11th - I JUST LINKED MY ACCOUNT BEFORE RECEIVING AOR YAY!

That's a small miracle. My application date is Jan 4th, 2019, got AOR on Feb 23rd by email but still can't link account!! Just received Medical request today by email by nothing on biometrics request or sponsor approval yet. Anyone have comments?

You may put a number of the applicant in the application as: 2
Then try. When I used "1", it didn't work.

By the way, I created GEc account for my spouse then I linked from the new account of her. When I tried to connect from my (sponsor) account, I could not link it.

So, you did include the medical result together with all your files on your application?

My representative did not advice me this. Only if i knew i should have take the medical exam rather than waiting for icc to request for it. It will add up more waiting time. My representative is not updateing me, I always rely on this forum for update.

Well if that is the case then my Medical was done on July 9th 2018, when I was declared as a non accompanying dependant during my husbands process, so ideally my Medical is valid until July 2019. hence will i also have the same process post receiving AOR??

Yes I have included my medical receipt with it. CIC had requested that I do my medicals before I was added as a non accompanying dependant, hence I had got my medicals done. We have ensured that we add all the documents that we had so that the application is not returned.

Honestly, I can’t predict how officers tend to process each application. There seems to be no fixed trend after AOR1
For example, our application was recieved on Jan 2. We got AOR1 Feb 22, immediately after on GCkey it says processing background check.
Feb.25 got biometrics request letter.
Feb. 26 got decision made for sponsor approval on ecas but I have not recieved the decision through e-mail.
Someone else around my time got AOR1, biometrics request, decision made on sponsorship approval with no e-mail yet, medical exam requested, didn’t mention anything about background check.
So it seems to run differently for different applicants despite similarity in date of submission.
I’m anticipating this may be due to the priority of things that must be checked in relation to where the applicant is coming from. For example my husband is Jordanian living in Saudi Arabia. So I’m assuming top priority is to ensure he is clear from any crime or so prior to a medical request. As you may already know the Middle East is a HOT SPOT. Lol
But these are only my thoughts I could be totaly wrong.
Also note: they require us to submit a police certificate from Jordan which may explain the delay in recieving a medical exam request.

So yes it really is a case by case situation.
We must all just be patient and comply with the requests.

Thank you for your response! Sadly, it still does not work.. I hope this doesn't mean they made an error sending me the AOR and I see my application returned to me or something :'(

Thanks ... Also if we link application to gckey ....will we recieve any email communication or every update will be on gckey

The updates will be on GCKey, but the system will send you an email telling you to come check it any time they need you to do something. Whether you link or don't link you will get some sort of alert you need to take action.

Ok and Biometrics ...how to get the appointment and how to send it back to Immigration ....Online or by Post or VFS will send

The visa centre will send it for you digitally; the PA doesn't need to do anything except go and provide fingerprints and have a photo taken. Does this mean we passed SA? When did this happen? First time checking ECAS so I have no idea when the status changed.

Yes, this is good news.

Did it change today? You'll get an update with something along the lines of:

We sent you correspondence on February 18, 2019 about the decision on your application.

The sponsor will also get an email outlining acceptance or rejection.

That was mine, I received the SA letter later that night. Yours will update with the date they sent your correspondence.
