Does PGWP qualify as a valid work permit? I'm doubtful because the next question mentions an employer named on the work permit, and I think that PGWP doesn't have anyone's name on it, so maybe they mean a LMO-based temporary work permit.
This guy will be banned for 5 years as there is no way to get additional 600 points juice for PGWP ppl . The reason why hes getting 600 points is there is a column there that says " do u hv a job offer in Canada ?" May be this guy without LMIA thinks about his current job . If you select yes over der u get 600 points thats wht i did and was rewarded with 600 points but after that wen i read the defination of job offer i changed it to No . So man just a suggestion change it to NO else wen u will get ITA they will ask u for ur Job offer and if u couldnt be able to provide one they will ban u for 5 years .
One thing to mention. This profile was created one month ago. Any back then I did not get 600 points.
Now in a sudden, the 600 points showed up with no change I made.
I sincerely consider it as an system error.
I don't know what to say guys.
But I'll keep posting regarding my profile.
Well, if you say "No" to "Does XX have a job offer in Canada?", you can still list your current employment later on in the "Work Experience" part... You just need to check "This is my current position" (ie. dont provide an end date)... That still gets you the Canadian Work Experience points (out of 80) and some more towards the "transferability" factors (out of 100).
May be i m wrong then bt u knw thats wt happened with me and i dnt wnt anyone to loose their chances of getting permanent coz of this small error . So bro its better to talk to CIC helpline and tell him ur situation coz if u will once get ITA with this then it will be hard for u to give an excuse to VO ..
I would be careful if I were you, if CIC send you an ITA in the next draw based on your points and then find out you don't have an LMIA I would imagine they'll reject your application, even if the mistake is on their part. I have a job in Canada and answered "no" to the "do you have a job offer" question: having a job is not the same as having a job offer
My profile is very similar to JasonSmart, but no 600 points. My current CRS is 511. CEC and FSW met and have a full time permanent job in Canada with no LMIA as I'm on PGWP. I answered 'Yes' to the question,"Do you have a job offer?" and 'No' to LMIA. The only diff is my NOC code which is 2174. so i'm guessing it has to do with his NOC code as there might be a need for foreign workers.
This is a really important question. I vaguely remember we were told to select "No" for this question:
Does <Candidate> have a job offer in Canada?
I selected No even though I'm working full time permanent basis because I don't have positive LMIA (PGWP LMIA Exempt).
Should we answer YES to that question and select NO when it asks for LMIA? Or should we say NO to the whole thing.

As I posted before, this is what the CIC's response was when someone else on this forum inquired about this exact issue:
"Candidates who are currently working in Canada but have not been offered a job that is supported by a Labour Market Impact Assessment should answer “No” to the question “Does [Candidate] have a job offer in Canada?” and they should create a Job Seeker account in Job Bank."
I am tempted to personally inquire again with the CIC, just don't know how to email/call them.
