Thank you in advance for helping me on this.
Work Permit : Open work permit specifically Post Graduation Work Permit (PGWP)
My Job details:
Job Code: 2174 (Computer programmers and interactive media developers)
Occupation: Software Developer
Job Started on: Nov 26th, 2019 (Full time for 40 hours per week till date)
Question :
In my express entry profile, I am not getting any points under the criteria 'CRS - Arranged Employment'. As per my employer, my job is LMIA exempt and also I have completed one year in this company.
Can you please suggest:
1. In my case, do LMIA required to get 50 points under criteria 'CRS - Arranged Employment'
2. As my job is LMIA exempt, and hence my employer did not apply for LMIA, so can my employer apply for LMIA now for my ongoing job?
Thanks & Regards
Sharma1717
You are on a PGWP or open work permit so don’t get the 50 points. If you need the points your employer needs to a LMIA
Thank you for the quick reply.
Can my employer apply LMIA after completing 1 year of my current job?
What province are you in? They have to prove no Canadian can do the job.
Why don’t you apply through AOS? Why do you need a LMIA?
My company is in Regina, Saskatchewan and I live in Calgary and work from home completely.
So I am in a situation that I can not apply for SINP as well as AINP or AOS, so applied for Express Entry.
Correct me if I am wrong and can apply for AINP or AOS?
Thank you

No you need an Alberta employer. For SINP you need to live in the province.
Thank you for your quick responses.
