Then you are not high skilled enough. Ontario literally takes in everyone with a job offer Noc B and a Master's. Alberta has more holistic category but if you went to school or work there its enough. Not too familar with BC but they don't even require job offer for BC Tech PNP (if you went to a listed program)

Another way to think about this is if inland people are not getting selected by any province, then maybe their skills and experience are not really needed.

Ya, either have an in-demand noc or have extremely high points. Only people I see not qualifying are diploma students that are not in demand nocs

FSW and TR2PR is the way to go. FSW is only after a big chunk of backlog is cleared. We are going to see the actual numbers on the 14th of February that will clear the uncertainty.

TR2PR needs to be only the NOC based stream (needs to cut down a lot of nocs) and French stream. No reason to choose students that can’t qualify for all program draws. It also needs much lower numbers than last year. The 20k issued for essencial workers(NOC based) is more than enough.

The picture is getting more and more clear. PNP is alive and will be strong due to the nature of the program. It is designed to fill labor shortages (what Sean Fraser mentioned many many times how important it is!). TR2PR will continue as its sole purpose is to target areas where labor shortage is big (healthcare, essential workers). FSW will resume once a big portion of backlog is cleared (FSH to be precise) simply because it looks good that Canada attracts high skilled immigrants. It has positive marketing value and without attracting high skilled immigrants companies requiring high skilled workers will never come to Canada.
Probably this is the perfect mixture for them. How the quota will be distributed between FHS and TR2PR is what is up to a question at the moment (until 14th of February)

Makes sense. Although I expect the FSW share to be very small if they choose to resume it. 500+ is basically a necessity now for the forseeable future.

my bet is on 471+ or 475+. Approximately 30K people in the pool right now. If IRCC wants to halve FHS to give room to TR2PR then 50K will likely be the allocated slot for 2023. To secure 2023 landings beginning of November 2022 is probably the latest to issue ITA.

I’m glad they way Fraser seemed specific saying there will no longer be CEC only draws. That was a mistake and only served to make people entitled, thinking there is a streamlined PR process for all, after buying work permits.
