Hello Ottawa applicants

I am Feb 2020 applicant, received AOR in Aug 2020 and status changed to IN PROCESS in Oct 2020.
I got my GCMS notes yesterday and I can see only Criminality is passed and rest everything not yet started. The due date for other steps is 02 Aug 2021 which means one year after AOR and not when they received the application. Looks like they have changed the one year criteria, atleast for me it has.
Ottawa office is also among slow moving offices.

Rai Mazhar Sahib, i seen a post in September 2020 group, one individual just posted that they received test invite today and yesterday they received their GCMS that indicated only criminality passed; hope for the best you will get test invite soon.

Yes, even when I called my MP office, they said to wait until 1 year has passed from AOR date and call back then to enquire IRCC regarding application status

Yes I have seen this comment before few times, 1 year time since AOR to complete all stages if application is routine. Cross fingers this doesn't increase even further!

Yes I understood what you meant.
Email the same email from which you received the FP request (IRCC email address).
They respond in a few hours saying whether they've received the FP results from RCMP or not.
I presume that is what you want to know?

Further, once IRCC receives any FP results, it DOES NOT show on ECAS automatically. It is only an internal update.

Thanks for the information. Yes we can't predict things but the due date in GCMS notes is the indicator, we can get updates before this date.

I asked CIC for an exemption to allow me to take the test while in India due to the flight ban. They came back with this:


Anyone have any idea what they mean by the last sentence "If not, please visit the IRCC website for further information upon your arrival."?

Got the same reply from IRCC today.
"Thank you for your email. IRCC is not providing exemption to physical presence in Canada for taking online test.
Please advise IRCC about your availability to take the test when you are physically back in Canada. We will endeavor to re-schedule you at a later date.
Please be reminded that it will be your responsibility to advise IRCC of your return to Canada."

What exactly is GCMS and how can I get this information for my application? Also how do you know which office is processing your application? I haven't recevied anything which tells me this.. I'm from Calgary but when I submitted fingerprints it was addressed to vancouver.

Just write to the same email that you got the FP request from. They reply in a few hours.

I sent a webform and just received a confirmation that they got my FP
