Just checked ECAS this morning, and found Decision Made for my hubby's application. I guess that request for his passport pictures is his letter??

If all goes well, he just might have a fancy shmancy Permanent Resident card in a week or so!!

Soooo relieved. Can't wait for him to be covered by OHIP.

Incredibly quick! Congrats!

Hi all,

I'm new on here but I've been reading and the info provided is really helpful. Has anyone who filed an application late February (around 26) had AOR as yet? Getting anxious.

Have you checked out the 2015 spreadsheet? Most or all of March applicants have received their AOR by now. Have you talked to CIC about it? It's possible it was received and you just haven't gotten your notification.

If you applied in February then try to log in to ECAS using your UCI on your PR card. In my case, I never received any communication from CIC but when I logged in to ECAS, my file was already processed and decision was made.

So check ECAS using PR card number.

We submitted on 16th Feb and got our AOR on 14th Feb. Better call and ask CIC. Good Luck every one!

Hi All,

I applied for my wife visitor visa online on April 16. She's in China right now, but until now no answer yet. If I call CIC would they know?

For those Feb applicants, who still haven't heard anything from CIC:

- do try calling CIC. you will eventually speak to an agent, who will be able to give you information.
- they run slower than dates shown on website. We are Feb 13th applicants, got AOR on April 7th (no email), got SA on May 4th (no email yet).
The only way of getting info for me was calling CIC. ECAS updates are slow, unfortunately.

As you can see, it took us almost a month to get SA after we got AOR. Some applicants get it within a couple of days, and some just dont.
I was super stressed while waiting, but it was all fine at the end.

Stay positive and let's hope for the best!

Hello fellow February applicants!

I posted my application to CIC on Feb 16th and it arrived at CIC on Feb 24th. Counting 62 days processing time from this date of receipt, I should have received SA last Monday, but I have heard nothing. I haven't even received AOR yet.

Are the 62 days processing time for sponsors working days only (mon-fri), or does it include weekends too?

Does anyone know why I haven't heard anything yet? Has anyone else who posted their application on 16th Feb received either AOR or SA?

I'm starting to worry now...

1. The processing time of 62 days includes weekends.
2. As a general rule add on 2 weeks to 62 days and you will most likely have SA by then. Have you received an AOR?

hello everyone . i Am going to file my husband's case in this month . i have a question that after i submit the file and when file is transfered to new delhi is it necessary for me to saty in canada while they are processing the file? If there is a time limit after which i have to be back in canada? as i am plaanig to live in india with my husband till he gets visa.

The issue is complex, but in general, there is a lag between actually done and knowing. You can always call CIC for more current information, but at the end of the day you'll still have to wait regardless of how much you know. The only issue is if you haven't received your AOR and think your application might have been lost.

No, there is no requirement to stay in Canada.

Andrew, no I haven't received AOR yet, which concerns me. If I add 2 weeks to the 62 days that will be mid-late this month when I get SA, but surely I should get AOR before then? Is it worth me calling them?
