February 2014 Applicants

I did medicals in Aug 2014 and my status got updated on 21 Jan 2015. It took almost 5 months to get an update. However I sent in all 4 emails in Aug, Sept,Nov and Jan 2015 to clarify whether or not CIC has received or not the medical report. CIC replied back in Nov saying that the medicals were located in the system. I requested GCSM and it mentioned medical in progress and finally ECAS was updated until 21 Jan 2015

I would suggest to send an email.

me2 same situations, actually, my ecase changed on Jan23-Jan24, not sure cuz I did not checked everyday,and it shows they processing on Jan 21th 2015....

We landed yesterday at Point Roberts (Boundary Bay), near Tsawassen, BC. All went very smoothly and quickly (not very busy there at 9am on a Sunday morning).

BOWP query. Please Help!

Soon I will be within 4 months of my work permit expiry date and I want to apply for my BOWP. I have an AOR through CEC application.

Here are my questions,

1. Do i need a LMO? Isnt AOR enough?
2. Which online application form should I be filling out?
3. If its IMM5710E, there is no option for me to check open work permit.

Hi,

no you do not need LMO for BOWP. Form is IMM5710 and if there is no option for open work permit then you may check "other" and mention that you are applying for BOWP.

Please do the eligiblity criteria on CIC website for application of Work permit. Based on my situation it asked me to upload the following docs-

1: IMM5710
2: Passport or travel document. (scans of all pages with stamps as well)
3: Digital photo
5: in other optional documents I provided a cover letter stating that i am applying for BOWP along with the copy of AOR.



You will have to log in into MY CIC and upload the documents as well as pay the fee.

Hello guys,

Last week i have paid upfront RPRF and today my status changed to "We started processing your application on January 29, 2015". Is it because i paid RPRF or did they really started processing my file. Please advise.

You can file BOWP without LMO also, I have done last year. Not sure which forms I filled but there was an option to select open work permit. In attachment section I wrote a letter stating AOR and status of my application.

I checked my status today, after 5 months my status changed to In process.

but it doesn't show that they received the medicals or not. My attorney sent an email about my medicals on 16th Jan. Not sure status changed because of that.

Has anyone received PPR/COPR in last week or so? Its been near three months since I paid RPRF fee after the request. How much longer does it usually take after the RPRF?

We received COPR on 26th Jan and I think there was at least 1 more in the last week. It took close to 3 months between RPRF being paid and receiving COPR (we are visa exempt).

I am in the same spot my friend. Lets hope that our applications will be processed soon. And yeah, I have applied for GCMS notes. I would recommend you do the same.

I got PPR , sent the passports and now its third week , tracker is not activated!
