extending my stay as a visitor

I applied to extend my stay as a visitor in april 2017 and I moved, still in the same city. I informed IRCC a little too late. They already sent my new visitor record to the original address and since then I have been asking IRCC how I can get it but no clear answer back yet. They told me the application was aproved and good till April 2018. I need to apply to extend it again by April 2018. Without a copy of visitor record can I still apply for it? or Do I have to get verification of my status first then apply for it?
