July 23 applicant - received a correspondence letter yesterday in CIC account stating biometrics are valid. Hoping to hear about the extension soon.

Quick update - Got the approval yesterday. The approval also includes a request to submit medicals within 90 days.

More than what i requested for. I had only requested until Jan 31 when i applied in July.
But, the approval has nothing to do with it. The approval was given for 90 days from approval date.

My application was approved on Feb 15th with validity until May 15th (3 months from date of approval)

July 30th applicant. Application is still pending. As per the 203 days processing time provided by IRCC, decision was supposed to be come around 17th Feb. does anyone receive update for application submitted after July 30th?

Hi, I made my request in July 2020, and I received a response on February 17, the extension expires on March 16, but I am in the process of gathering all the documents for sponsorship by common law + OWP, I would like to know if I should make a new one extension to be able to carry out the sponsorship process, because it is possible that you will not be able to gather all the documents before February 16.

so essentially the visa will be extended from july till april id you had requested for 6mo ext.?

The backlogs will slowly be erased so this is only temporary. We have seen others who only get a few weeks after their initial extension approval date.

Yes, i requested only 6 months. But, the approval was given for 90 days extra (9 months in total). However, the approval also mentions that we need to submit medicals within 90 days.
